The following races will be pointed in the 2011 Steamboat Springs Running Series:

• Spirit Challenge: 5K
• Steamboat Marathon: 26.2
• Hayden Cog Run: 8M
• Craig Duathlon: Solo only
• Mountain Madness: 10K and Half Marathon
• Spring Creek: 9M
• Howelson Hill: 8M
• Mt Werner: 12M
• Continental Divide: 16M
• 10K@10,0000 ft: 10K
• Emerald Mountain Trail Run: 7M

Points are given out as follows:

Overall Points

• Overall male & female 1st place finishers receive 10 points
• Overall male & female 2nd place finishers receive 9 points 
• Overall male & female 3rd place finishers receive 8 points
• ...and so on, until we reach zero.

PLUS...

Age group points

• First place finish = 10 points
• Second place finish = 8 points
• Third place finish = 6 points
• Fourth place finish = 4 points
• Fifth place finish = 2 points

(Age groups are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+)

These points accumulate up through the 12th race. We will also be awarding an overall champion award as well as awards for each individual age group for male and females. Our return runners are what make this series what it is and we are happy that we can thank you all for participating and supporting the SSRS.
