10k Course Map
5k Course Map
What: A Challenging trail run with some beautiful terrain and breathtaking scenery.... this race is a Steamboat classic! The 10K race begins at 10,000 ft at the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass first heading uphill on USFS dirt roads and 2 track, the race then heads downhill on single-track, and ends on a cross country single-track, Total elevation gain and loss are about ~1,200 feet each. This race although listed as a 10K is about 6.8 miles. The 10k has 1 aid station at about 3.4 miles and the 5k does not have an aid station so we HIGHLY recommend carrying your own water. Both the 10k and the 5k will offer a no-frills race registration option where you can run in the event and receive post-race food and are entered into the drawing but you will not receive the race schwag.
When: The 10K @ 10,000 ft. is run on Rabbit Ears Pass covering both single track and rustic mountain roads for an amazing trail run. This race is run on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM, and if you plan to walk the course the walk will also begin at 10:00 AM. A 5K race begins at 10:05 AM.
