2015 Steamboat Marathon
One of the most highly recognized races of the Running Series, the Marathon course was selected by Colorado Runner Magazine as the top destination weekend getaway race for 2011, by Runner’s World as one of the "10 Most Scenic Marathons of the Year" (February 1996) and one of the "Top Ten Destination Marathon's in North America" (March 1999).

When: Sunday, June 7th, 2015. Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K begin at 7:30am. Fun Run starts at 11:45 am.

- The marathon begins at historic Hahns Peak Village, follows a paved country road down the Elk River Valley, and finishes at the courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs. Starting elevation is 8,128' and the finish elevation is 6,728'. There is a 5 ½ hour course cut off time. We close the course at 1 PM. Capped at 500.
- The Half Marathon race begins at the mid-point of the Marathon course locally known as Moon Hill at an elevation of 6,990' and finishes at the same location as the Marathon, in downtown Steamboat Springs. Capped at 1,000.
- The 10k course for this race is a USATF Certified race course on a rolling, paved road through scenic Strawberry Park and Old Town Steamboat Springs. It starts and finishes at the courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs at an elevation of 6,728'.
- A free "fun run" is also included and open to children 5 years and older. The race is on a paved road, starting and finishing at the courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs. The fun run will be capped at the first 200 to register. Race day registration only on the court house lawn. We look forward to seeing you there.
Awards & Prizes: First through third place male and female overall awards, first male and female masters overall awards, and first male and female Routt County overall awards will be given in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K Run & Walk. First through third place male and female age division awards will be given in the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K Run. Official Marathon finishers will receive a medal.
NOTE: Recipients of overall awards will not be eligible to receive age division awards. All awards will be present at 12:30pm at the finish on the court house lawn.
