
Hayden Cog Run
The Hayden Cog Run is one of the longest consecutively run races of the Steamboat Springs Running Series and in the state of Colorado! This is a Routt County Classic held in the small town of Hayden Colorado 25 minutes west of Steamboat.
Distances: 8.4 mile, 5k (roads). There will also be a 1 mile Kid’s Fun Run

Registration:
Register online here or on-site. Online registration will close at 5 p.m. Friday, May 12th. On-site registration will be available from 9:00 to 9:45 am at the start line.
Packet Pick-Up: Please pick-up your packet at the registration table between 9:00 and 9:45 am on race day. No pre-event packet pick-up.
Registration Fees:
- 5k: $25* until April 12th; $30 through May 12th; $35 on race day
- 8 mile: $40* until April 12th; $45 through May 12th; $50 on race day
- Please note that prices will increase by $10 for race day registrations and all packet pickup registrations. Register online to save.
Racers 17 & under: $15* through May 12th; $20* on race day

Kid’s 1 Mile Run: donation based

Course Description:
The Cog Run is a challenging 8.4 mile out and back course on Routt County Road #76. This race has approximately 3 miles of steep uphill and 3 miles of steep downhill slope with the turnaround point at the top of the Hayden Cog. Race offers spectacular views of the Yampa Valley.
The 5k run is out and back following the same direction as the longer race. You will cross the bridge spanning the river and turn around a half mile or so after the road turns to dirt.
One water station provided for on the 8.4 mile course ONLY, minimal aid station for the 5k. In an effort to go cupless, we ask that you bring your own device for carrying water.
Pets: Not advisable for the Hayden Cog Run, considered for the 5k

Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place males and females (No AG awards)
Every participant is automatically entered in our prize raffle, which will follow the awards ceremony.
